Vapour Mounted Primary Foam Seal

Foam Log Seals - Comprising a series of urethane foam logs, which are held inside an elastomeric envelope and compressed between the tank shell and the floating roof rim. The foam compresses or expands to maintain full contact in the annulus, and contain the product VAPOURs below the seal.

The Arrangement of the Seal allows for a space for VAPOUR between the stored product surface and the bottom portion of the Seal hence it is known as VAPOUR Mounted Primary Foam log Seal.

The seal of this type depends upon the resilience of the polyurethane foam log to bridge the annulus of the Rim gap from tank roof to the Shell.

The seal consists of polyurethane solid foam blocks of octagonal or 'D' Shaped encased in an Casing / Envelope made of a suitable polymer. The Casing/Envelope and foam blocks are held in place with Hold down arrangements made out of Galvanized/ stainless plates. Galvanized /stainless compression plates are provided over the assembly as weather protectors/ shields. The entire arrangement is clamped with galvanized/ stainless flats and bolted to the Rim angle or flats with fasteners. It is lightweight and It can be Rapidly installed.
