Compression Plate Secondary Seals
These seals comprise a Nitrile/PVC Wiper tip that is tightly held in continuous contact with the tank shell by a series of compression plates, which are bolted to the top of the rim. The adjoining shoe-to-shoe connection has a patented bolted & gasketted (slotted) joint design. The product "secondary" VAPOURs are contained below the seal. The WORLD'S FIRST Compression plate secondary seal concept, eliminates the need for an expensive VAPOUR barrier, and is still the best design to minimize vapour emission and allow easy visual inspection of the primary and secondary seals.
The Seal is characterized by a 5” flat Wiper tip, which maintains a wide area of continuous contact between the compression plates and tank shell.
Duo - Tip Wiper
The seal is characterized by an extrusion with two independent continuous contact points between the compression plates and tank shell. |
